Domaine du Bel Air, South Brittany - Open May to Sept

This countryside holiday parc which is found 2km west of the village of Landudec, has tree-lined, grassy pitches, many with views across the valley over the lake. The site is open from April to early October and provides a tranquil home for many private owners who appreciate the peaceful nature of this site. It has been carefully landscaped with a range of shrubs and trees and is a real delight to experience during the spring and summer months when the numerous colourful shrubs and flowers are in bloom.

The Domaine de Bel Air has 220 pitches and has been specifically planned to site the mobile homes into small cul-de sac groups, with about 12 homes in each row. This serves to minimise through- traffic creating privacy for owners and a safe environment for young children.

Each plot has room for a good sized terrace, space to enjoy a barbeque and share a glass of wine with friends with plenty of room for car parking. The trees and shrubs provide privacy, shade and plenty of room to relax making this site ideal for young and old alike.

Owners and their friends and families enjoy the use of all facilities on site free of charge, including the private outdoor pool complex with sun terrace reserved solely for the use of campsite guests. The new fun splash pool complex, complete with twisting chute and slides is a real hit with children, it is part of the 30 acre leisure park ‘Bel Air Land’ with its own 6 acre lake, deer park, coarse fishing, and pedalos. The parc is popular with holidaymakers from across Europe, with English-speaking staff. Bel Air is particularly appealing for families with young children and those people looking for quiet out of season breaks. All holiday homes can be sub-let if desired.

The on-site reception staff are always happy to help, whether it is a request for the latest weather update, assistance in finding a new restaurant or advice on day trips. They stock a variety of local leaflets and maps.

The park is easily accessible from the UK by ferry or flight, just a 1 hour drive from the ferry terminal at Roscoff and 50 minutes from Brest airport.

Domaine de Bel Air Holiday Parc is situated 9 miles west of the regional town of Quimper. Stretching along the banks of the river Odet, Quimper is the ancient capital of la Cornouaille. A visit to the mediaeval cathedral is a must, take time to explore the cobbled streets lined with Tudor style housing. The city is popular for its street markets on a Wednesday and Saturday - worth a visit for the smells alone! With a host of shops, cafés and restaurants this makes for a wonderful day out.

The campsite is just a 5 minute drive from glorious acres of quiet sandy beaches and exhilarating cliff top walks. Douarnenez and Audierne are the local fishing ports, where you can observe the brightly coloured boats as they come in and out with the tides and spend your summer afternoons relaxing on the long sandy beaches.

Benodet is located on the mouth of the River Odet and is one of the most prestigious seaside resorts in the area. Here you can enjoy the large sandy beach edged with cafes and restaurants. Boat trips to the Glenan islands of the archipelago, shopping at the weekly markets and dining along the seafront are all favourites with our guests. Just outside of Benodet you will find Golf de l’Odet, an undulating partly wooded 18 hole and 9 hole course, along with driving range and putting green.

Locronan is a sleepy village that time forgot, situated 10 miles north of Quimper, it is closed to traffic to preserve the old streets and granite houses. If you want to experience typical French life in the 17th century then this is the place for you, a memorable day out. Pointe du Raz is the most westerly point of France. It is a national site of scientific interest and is one of the world’s truly wild and mystical places with its dramatic seas.

Head to ‘La Torche’ for surfing and body boarding, a great place to take a kite or take a refreshing stroll to watch the surfers.
